1. Tufts Looks to Make History Against RIT In Men’s Final

Jack Old, Tufts

Alex Zborowski, RIT
It’s a rematch of the 2024 Division III men’s lacrosse championship game on Sunday at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Va., as two-time defending national champion Tufts takes on RIT.
The Jumbos (21-1) are looking to become the fourth program in DIII championship history to win three straight titles and first since Salisbury turned the trick in 2003-04-05. Middlebury also won three in a row in 2000-01-02 and Hobart won 12 straight crowns from 1980-91.
Tufts is led by the one-two combo of Jack Regnery (71-46-117) and Brooks Hauser (71-29-100) who combined for 142 goals and 75 assists. Chase Beyer (55-32-87) and Will Emsing (32-43-75) also reached the 75-point plateau. Keep an eye on Garrett Kelly on the EMO. He scored 11 of his 45 goals on the power-play. Jack Old has a 57.4 save percentage and has conceded just 8.77 goals per game.
RIT (19-4) is in search of national title #3 after winning back-to-back crowns in 2021 and 2022. The Tigers have a pair of 90-point scorers in Erich Acton (58-34-92) and Ryan Sanders (66-25-91, while three other players have notched 30+ goals on the year, including Ethan Harkins who is shooting at a 59.6 percent clip. Philip Menardo could be a factor at the face-off “X,” winning 59.6 percent of his draws. Alex Zborowski turns away 52.9 percent of shots on goal with a 9.45 GAA.
2. NESCAC 3, Salisbury 1 In Women’s Final Four

Skylar Lach, Middlebury

Regan McDonnell, Salisbury

Schuyler Lloyd, Tufts

Lindsey Diomede, Wesleyan
A pair of undefeated teams have an opportunity to make history this weekend at the NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse semifinals in Rochester, N.Y.
Four-time defending champ Middlebury (21-0) and 2021 winner Salisbury (20-0) have combined to win the last six contested and 15 DIII titles overall. Since 2010, only four champions have gone wire-to-wire without a loss - Salisbury (2013, 2021) and Middlebury (2023, 2024).
The Panthers take on NESCAC rival Tufts in the opening semifinal today at noon. Middlebury carries a 28-game winning streak in NCAA play and is led offensively by Caroline Adams (68-41-109). Haley Hamilton topped the 50-goal mark with 56 on the season. The Midd defense has been anything but, leading the nation in scoring defense. Elizabeth Savage has the best goals-against mark (5.02) in all divisions of the NCAA.
The Jumbos (17-3) are paced by standout first-year Eleanor Helm with 49-48-97, while Allie Zorn (58-27-85) and Schuyler Lloyd (48-31-79) also are offensive threats. Defensiely, Sophie Haas has caused 26 turnovers in front of GK Devon Chipman who has a 46.9 save percentage. Middlebury edged Tufts, 11-10, back on March 28
The Sea Gulls look for natty #5 and look to Audrey Harrington for offense (45-41-86). Miranda Mears leads Salisbury in goals (59), while Regan McDonnell (33) and Julianna Ott (32) also topped the 30-goal mark. Abby Fleishell is one of the top defenders in DIII with 35 caused turnovers. Paige Ellis has a 46.2 save percentage and has allowed just 7.33 goals per game.
The Cardinals (18-3) are back in the national semifinals for the second time and first since 2019. Addie Cummings leads Wesleyan with 45-17-62, while Dylan Green (32) and Mya Waryas (31) also topped the 30-goal mark. Lindsey Diomede is a caused-turnover machine (77) and Izzy Weintraub is one of the top ‘keepers in the country with a 51.8 save percentage and a 5.97 GAA.
