1. Panthers Roll On, Down RPI, 17-5

Top-ranked Middlebury extended its winning streak to 55 games with a convincing 17-5 win at RPI on Tuesday. The Panthers scored the first nine goals of the game and cruised to their fourth win of the season.

Maggie Coughlin had two goals and two assists as 11 players found the back of the net. Caroline Adams set a program single-game record with 16 draw controls and also dished out three assists.

2. ROUNDUP: Rowan Off to Best Start in Program History

Lauren Burke scored eight times to power Bowdoin (2-2) to an 18-8 victory over Roger Williams (1-4) in Florida. Washington College (2-5) scored three fourth-quarter goals to hold off Widener, 11-10. Anna Wilson led the Shorewomen with four goals. Bridgewater State is 5-1 after a 21-12 victory over Husson as seven players scored at least two goals.

Gillian Joseph had four goals and two assists as Union (3-0) downed Brockport, 16-10. It is the best start for the Garnet Chargers since 2008. Elaina Corson struck for six goals in Rowan’s 14-3 win against Kenyon. It is the Profs’ first 5-0 start in program history.

3. Amherst Rolls Past Springfield

Bob Gross had a hat trick as No. 10 Amherst jumped out to a 9-1 halftime lead and cruised past Springfield, 11-5. The Mammoths improved to 3-0, while the Pride slipped to 1-4.

Amherst dominated at the dot, winning 16 of the game’s 18 faceoffs, including a 9-9 performance from Nicholas Kopp.

Brooks Catlin made 10 saves in between the pipes for the victors, while Springfield’s Kaden Quirk turned away 17 shots in a losing cause.

4. ROUNDUP: Salisbury Remains Unbeaten; Middlebury Upends Union in OT

Riley Strub scored six goals, while Ryan Della added four as No. 2 Salisbury moved to 7-0 with a 15-8 home victory against Ohio Wesleyan (3-3). Patrick Jamin scored with 1:56 left in overtime to lift Middlebury past Union, 12-11. The Panthers (1-3) scored three unanswered goals to take an 11-10 advantage with 3:59 remaining before the Garnet Chargers’ (1-4) Mekhi Taylor tied the score with 2:10 left. Chase Kusko scored twice and handed out six helpers as Muhlenberg (4-3) handed North Central (4-1) its first loss of the season, 19-4.

Salve Regina (6-1) outscored Merchant Marine, 21-6, over the last three quarters to roll past the Mariners (3-1), 24-10. Hiram scored eight of the game’s last 10 goals, including the shorthanded game-winner from Aaron Gardner to defeat Anderson, 11-10. And Bates is now 5-0 following a 16-7 road win at Keene State. Gray Doyle had seven assists for the Bobcats.

“The York women’s lacrosse team made the biggest jump in this week’s USA Lacrosse Division III Women’s Top 20. Two victories, including one over No. 7 Washington and Lee, propelled York five places up the Top 20.

Chicago joins the Top 20 with a pair of weekend victories, including an overtime thriller against Colorado College.”

6. Lightning Round ⚡️ 

🗞️ Players of the Week. Cortland GK Travis Wagner and Gettysburg M Grace Battle were selected as the USA Lacrosse DIII Players of the Week. Wagner made 17 saves in the Dragons’ upset win against St. Lawrence and turned away 12 in a victory against Skidmore. Battle, a freshman, scored five goals including the final three of the game as the Bullets downed Salisbury, 12-11, in overtime.

🗞️ Players of the Week II. Hartford’s Meghan Smith and Stockton’s Gina Marotta were honored as the IWLCA Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week. Smith scored 10 goals and handed out four assists in a pair of Hawk victories. Marotta set career-bests with eight draw controls and six ground balls, while causing four turnovers in the Ospreys’ win against Farmingdale State.
