Inside Lacrosse had a Friday news dump, announcing its DIII preseason All-America teams. The first team is listed below.

2. The Weekend Roundup (M)

Third-ranked Christopher Newport (2-0) went on the road and held off Hampden-Sydney, 10-7. The Captains never trailed in the match and had an answer for every Tiger rally. Kevin Smith topped CNU with 2-3, while Jamie Smith had 2-1. Kavin Wood had a goal and three helpers for H-SC.

Salisbury (2-0) scored early and often on its way to a 24-9 victory against Grove City (0-1). Connor Herraiz had 2-7 for the Sea Gulls, while Chris Wong found the back of the net six times. No. 7 RPI (1-0) opened its season in similar fashion, racing to an 18-3 lead after three periods on its way to a 23-9 win against Kean (0-1). Three players had hat tricks while Tyler Ruffini had a goal and five assists.

Greensboro (1-0) outscored Oglethorpe, 8-1, over the final 15 minutes to pull away for an 18-8 victory. Berry (1-0) broke open an 8-8 tie with four final-period goals for a 12-9 win at Methodist. Carthage opened its season with a 10-2 win at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The stat of the day comes from Shreveport, La., as Gamble Harvill scored 14 goals to lead Centenary (La.) past Hendrix, 21-11. Noah Walsh continued his hot start to the season with 11 assists.

On Sunday, Charlie Hilgartner posted 4-1 as Randolph-Macon defeated Sewanee, 11-8. David Chintala tickled the twine six times in Kenyon’s 14-4 win vs. Transylvania. Pfeiffer used late heroics to edge Rhodes, 14-13, in overtime. Ethan Miles sent the game to extra time with a tally with :04 remaining, setting the stage for Bashwyn Fitch’s game-winner at 1:47 of OT.

3. The Weekend Roundup (W)

Calvin made it a successful trip to Wisconsin with wins against Eau Claire, 17-6, and Stout (19-9). Delaney Johnson led the Knights against UWEC with 3-2, while Audrey Booher lit up Stout with 7-2.

Transylvania went on the road to Atlanta and came back home to Lexington with a 12-8 win at Oglethorpe. Layla Hobbs-Powell led the way for the Pioneers with four goals. The next day was not as kind, as Lillie Swanson (5), Dani Taraska (4) and Katie Claire Smith (3) combined for 12 goals as Berry routed Transylvania, 20-4.

4. OAC (M) Preview

Ohio Northern, under the direction of 10th-year Head Coach Nat Laurent, has been picked by the league coaches to win the Ohio Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse title in 2026. The Polar Bearsn received six of nine first place votes to collect 62 points. Baldwin Wallace received three first place votes, with 59 points. Otterbein lands in the third spot with 47 points, followed by Mount Union with 45 points.”

5. NEWMAC (M) Preview

“With seven first-place votes, defending NEWMAC champions Babson College has been voted to defend its title in the 2026 NEWMAC Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll. Led by head coach Rocky Batty, the Beavers are looking for their fourth straight NEWMAC title. Springfield College claims second place in the poll and nabbed the remaining first-place vote.”

6. Little East (W) Preview

“Defending Little East Conference (LEC) women's lacrosse tournament champion Western Connecticut State University was named the league favorite heading into 2026, as the Wolves tallied 60 points and six first-place votes in the annual preseason coaches' poll.

The University of Southern Maine claimed second-place in the the preseason ranking over Eastern Connecticut State University by just one point. The Huskies and Warriors earned one first-place vote each.”

“Salisbury topped the 2026 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll following a vote of the league's head coaches. The Sea Gulls tallied nine points and three first-place votes to lead the rankings. Christopher Newport finished second in the poll with seven points and one top vote. Mary Washington ranked third, while Warren Wilson was fourth.”
