“RIT junior Chase Bruno scored a career-high four goals to lead the No. 3 Tigers to a 13-10 win over No. 4 RPI in Saturday's Liberty League opener.

Senior Nate Senez scored three goals and junior goalie Alex Zborowski made 15 saves for the Tigers (9-1). Evan Whatley had a hat trick for the Engineers (8-1).”

2. Pittman Powers Diplomats Past Sea Gulls

Belle Dintino, Franklin & Marshall

Junior attacker Lauren Pittman scored four goals and recorded the 200th point of her career as No. 2 Franklin & Marshall held off No. 5 Salisbury, 13-11.

GK Sara DiGiovanni turned away 12 Sea Gulls shots as the Diplomats registered their third top-10 victory of the season. Julianna Ott scored four times for Salisbury.

3. Mammoths Hand Polar Bears 1st Loss

Amherst improved to 6-0, handing Bowdoin its first loss of the season, 12-8. Willie Doyle had a five-point day (4-1) to lead the Mammoths, who used a 5-0 third period to turn a 6-4 deficit into a 9-6 lead. Brooks Catlin turned away 15 Polar Bear shots for the win.

Tufts outscored Stevens, 6-1, in the second half to dispatch the Ducks, 9-6. Connor Garzone made 13 saves after Stevens took a 5-0 lead after one period. Salisbury blitzed Stevenson, 24-9, jumping out to a 16-2 lead at the intermission. Brice Bromwell had five goals and two assists for the Gulls. Trinity held off Williams, 13-9, outscoring the Ephs, 4-1 in the decisive final period. It was the first win for the Bantams over Williams since 2012. Wesleyan scored the final five goals of the contest to overcome a 12-11 fourth-quarter deficit and defeat Bates, 12-11. Charlie Johnson scored six times as Gettysburg edged Swarthmore, 12-11, in the Centennial opener for both schools. York blitzed Grove City with five unanswered goals in a 16-minute span to down the Wolverines, 14-13.

Tim McHugh scored five goals with four assists as Illinois Wesleyan improved to 7-2 with an 18-15 win at Calvin. Hanover (7-2) handed Alma (7-1) its first defeat of the season, downing the Scots, 11-5. Matthew Hillard had 10 saves for the Panthers. Westminster (Pa.) needed three OTs to subdue Manhattanville, 11-10, as Kyler Nigliazzo notched the game-winner. UMass Boston scored 11 times in the first period on its way to a 28-10 rout of Salem State. Twelve Beacons found the back of the net for UMB (7-1). Salve Regina is 9-1 after a 13-7 win at Clark, as Daniel Naglieri notched four goals.

4. Panthers and Jumbos On Collision Course

Middlebury and Tufts remained undefeated and on course for a titanic showdown on April 12 in Vermont.

Top-ranked Middlebury (8-0) took care of Connecticut College, 12-3, as Hope Shue registered five goals and a pair of assists. Amherst toppled Bowdoin, 13-9. Tufts downed Christopher Newport, 15-5. The Jumbos (7-0) ran out to an 11-1 lead at the intermission. Colby held off Hamilton, 11-9, as Julia Jardina registered four goals for the Mules (6-0). York held off Stevens, 10-9, as Sophie Steel had two goals and two assists. St. John Fisher upended Ithaca, 15-10, as Ellie Leisen had a five-point day as the Cardinals are 6-0 for the first time since 2017.

Mary Washington improved to 10-1 with a 13-11 win at Denison, behind a five-goal performance from Victoria Mueller. Trinity (4-3) turned back Babson, 13-7, on a 3-1 effort from Grace Denious. Julia Spaulding scored 10 goals, while running mate Emi Bission handed out 13 assists as Mount Holyoke edged Emerson, 19-18. Marymount is 8-2 after an 18-6 win over UW-Eau Claire, on a six-goal performance from Tess Valentino.

John Carroll remained unbeaten (9-0) following a 15-3 win at Marietta. Sewanee did the same, upending Oglethorpe, 13-7. Andi Henry had four goals and seven assists as Capital routed Otterbein, 19-6, in the Battle for the Oar. Western Connecticut is 8-1 after a 14-4 drubbing of Southern Maine, as the Wolves won their 30th straight Little East contest. St. Lawrence handed Vassar its first loss of the season, downing the Brewers, 11-6. Jessica LaPlace scored four times with two assists. Lake Forest handed Carthage its first loss, downing the Firebirds, 17-11. Jenna Doctor had 6-1 for the Foresters. Kalamazoo scored the final five goals, including the game-winner in OT, to down Albright, 20-19.
