1. Sea Gulls Hold Off Bullets, 12-11

Riley Strub, Salisbury

Brice Bromwell and Riley Strub combined for seven goals and six assists as #2 Salisbury outscored #11 Gettysburg, 3-0, in a decisive third period and held off the Bullets, 12-11. Bromwell had 3-5 for the Sea Gulls (4-0), while Strub posted 4-1. Jack Dunleavy tallied four goals for Gettysburg (1-1).

Ethan Harkins found the back of the net six times as #3 RIT improved to 2-0 with a 17-11 win at Grove City (1-3). The Tigers outscored the Wolverines, 9-4, in the middle quarters. Nate Senez handed out four assists for the victors. Stewart McClain had a hat trick in a losing cause. Mason Bellinger made 17 saves as #6 Christopher Newport (3-0) downed #18 Stevenson, 13-10. Kevin Miller had a seven-point night for the Captains, while Max Racich had a hat trick for the Mustangs (2-1).

RPI ran its season-opening win streak to three with a convincing 19-9 victory against Geneseo. The Engineers ripped the Knights for nine third-quarter goals to pull away. Zach Swanson and Tyler Ruffini each had a hat trick for RPI (3-0). #15 St. John Fisher overcame a four-goal deficit and defeated Ithaca, 12-11. Ethan Kesselring notched a hat trick for the Cardinals (2-0), as did Tim Rogers for the Bombers (0-1), who held a 21-6 advantage in face-offs. And #20 Babson scored twice in the final five minutes to break a 9-9 tie and defeat #20 Union, 11-9. Anthony Stillwell scored four times for the Beavers (2-0).

KEY GAME
2. W&L Avenges Postseason Loss to Gulls

#5 Washington and Lee used a pair of 5-0 scoring runs to avenge its 2024 postseason loss to Salisbury, downing the #4 Sea Gulls, 13-7. Iman Haddad turned away a career-best 17 Salisbury (2-1) shots, while Hannah Van Son led the offense with four goals for the Generals (2-1).

Natalie Daniels posted career-bests with seven goals and 15 draw controls as #5 William Smith defeated Geneseo, 16-9. #9 Gettysburg held #19 Denison to just one goal in the first 34 minutes as the Bullets downed the Big Red, 16-6. Emily Crane had four goals and an assist for the victors (2-0). #11 Roanoke (2-0) opened its 2025 campaign with a dominant 19-10 win at Kenyon (1-1). Grace Koutouzis had four goals and two assists for the Maroons.

Stevens outscored Roger Williams, 9-1, in the second half to pull away from the Hawks, 17-6. Stefanie Sellitto tallied five times for the Ducks (2-0). Pomona-Pitzer rallied for six unanswered goals in the final period to subdue Chicago, 14-10. River Buechner led the Sagehens with for goals.

3. Osborn Breaks NCAA Career Point Mark

Grace Osborn set the NCAA DIII career record for points as she registered 13 on the day to lift the Comets past Berry, 21-5. She scored nine goals with four assists on the afternoon bringing her career total to 516 points.

Isabel Fransen scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift Berry past Ohio Wesleyan, 13-12, on Friday. Laci Raveis did the same for Bates on Saturday as the Bobcats pulled out an 11-10 overtime win on the road at Catholic. Elizabeth Wang tickled the twine six times as Carroll jumped out to an early lead and held off Lake Forest, 10-9.

DeSales posted the first shutout victory in program history, whitewashing Wilson, 22-0. Sydney Weber scored 11 times as Warren Wilson held off Huntingdon, 20-16. Kate Hudson kept the Hawks close, scoring 13 goals on the day. Mount Union’s Katie Clark handed out eight assists as the Purple Raiders defeated DePauw, 22-9.

4. York Edges F&M in Battle of the Roses

York scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome Franklin & Marshall, 6-5, behind a 16-save performance from Nash Womack. Endicott toppled Nazareth, 14-12, as Guerin Favreau scored three times with two assists. The matchup featured 10 ties, including 12-all, before the Gulls struck twice in the final 2:09. St. Mary’s withstood a five-goal fourth-quarter run by Randolph-Macon to defeat the home team, 11-10. Aiden Doyle had a hat trick for the Seahawks (2-1).

Dillon Bakhsh scored four times, including the game-winner with 4:57 left, as Shenandoah battled back from an 8-4 deficit to defeat Widener, 9-8. Tommy Robertozzi also tallied four times to boost #10 Stevens (2-0) past Springfield, 13-7. David Caldwell found the back of the net eight times in Centre’s 20-8 victory over Southern Virginia. Wilkes defeated Pitt-Bradford, 18-1, as Austin Sosnovik dished out nine assists. And Logan North won 28 face-offs to power Mount Union past Franciscan, 22-9.

6. Livestreaming the Championships

Division III will livestream over 500 more games from the 2025 winter and spring championships free to fans on ncaa.com via Hudl. This partnership aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Division III championships.

For the spring season, the baseball, softball, men's volleyball and men's and women's lacrosse championships will be livestreamed on ncaa.com. Every Division III game will be available at ncaa.com/champs-pass and by using the NCAA Championships Pass app for Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and Android TV devices.

"This strategic partnership is enhancing the division's brand by providing seamless and free access to every round of our team championships. This initiative presents a unique opportunity to highlight the extraordinary talents of our student-athletes and the rich diversity of our institutions and conferences to a broader audience.
