1. Tufts, Dickinson, RIT Impress at Mustang Classic

No. 1 Tufts, No. 10 Dickinson, and No. 13 RIT came away with 2-0 records at the 10th annual Callum Robinson Mustang Classic hosted by Stevenson University.
The Jumbos drilled Denison, 16-6, before downing second-ranked Christopher Newport, 17-9, in the much-anticipated matchup between the top two ranked teams in DIII.
The 10th-ranked Red Devils showed off their defense in wins against #14 St. Lawrence, 14-6, and Denison, 8-5, conceding just 11 goals in 120 minutes.
And the 13th ranked Tigers turned their potent offense loose, rolling up 17 goals in a 17-10 victory against #9 Gettysburg and 22 in a 22-13 win vs. #15 Washington and Lee.
No. 4 Lynchburg was riding the high of a 22-21 win against Christopher Newport, before being knocked off that perch by Gettysburg, 15-13. Riley Hastings broke the program’s single-game record for points (8-5-13) vs. the Captains.

York (5-1) used a 7-1 outburst in the third quarter to open up a 6-6 game at intermission and defeat Ohio Wesleyan, 18-12. Davis Fisher scored four times and assisted on three others, while Nate Schilling had 3-4 for the Spartans | Recap
Trailing 9-4 midway through the third period, Stevens scored six of the next seven goals and got the game-winner in overtime from Matthew Pergola to upend Union, 11-10. Michael Jannotte made 16 saves for the Ducks (5-0) | Recap
And eighth-ranked Babson went 2-0 on the weekend, taking out Wheaton, 19-8, and No. 18 Middlebury, 14-9. It is the best start for the Beavers (7-0) since 1979. | Recap

2. Panthers On The Prowl

Top-ranked Middlebury flexed its muscles last weekend, taking down No. 24 Trinity, 10-4, and whipping No. 10 Franklin & Marshall, 16-2. The Panthers (6-0) received three goals and five assists from Caroline Adams against Trinity, while Haley Hamilton tickled the twine six times in a wire-to-wire win against the Diplomats.
Second-ranked Wesleyan downed No. 7 Colby for the first time since 2019, shutting down the Mules, 10-4. The Cardinals (4-0) forced 25 Colby turnovers, allowing just 15 total shots and no free-position attempts for the visitors. Maddie Shoemaker led Wes with four goals.
No. 3 Tufts (4-1) welcomed #18 Chicago to Medford but didn’t treat the Maroons kindly on the field, building an early lead on its way to a 16-7 win. Allie Zorn had four goals for the Jumbos and Devon Chipman made 12 saves.

It turned into a lost weekend for #21 Colorado College, as the Tigers fell to #13 Pomona-Pitzer, 13-6, and unranked Claremont-M-S, 17-15. » Wooster’s Jack Holub scored nine goals in the Scots’ 17-10 victory against UMass Boston, tying the program’s single-game record set in 1992.
» The Lewis & Clark women’s team registered its first shutout in program history, blanking Pacific Lutheran, 22-0.
