2. ‘Our Second Home’: Another Year, Another Bromwell Leading Salisbury

Brice Bromwell, Salisbury
by Matt Kinnear, Inside Lacrosse
“There aren’t many people who have been to more Salisbury men’s lacrosse games than Brice Bromwell over the past decade.
He estimates he’s missed about 10 Salisbury games over the past 12 years. So only coach Jim Berkman himself, the staff and a few superfans have him beat.”
» Field Awareness. “If you feel like you keep seeing the name “Bromwell” in Salisbury box scores, it’s not your imagination. For 12 years there has been one on the roster. First Brendan, then Jarrett, and now Brice. There was only one year of overlap with Brendan and Jarrett together due to COVID. They are all first-team All-Americans. They all have played in the NCAA Championship Game. They all now bleed Maroon and Gold.”
» Between The Lines. “Brice says Jarrett and Brendan are more athletic. He calls himself the finesse player of the trio. Berkman sees the inherent little-brother skill in the youngest one. It’s what you’ve seen in the likes of little brothers like CJ Kirst and Chris Kavanagh as well.”
» Why It Matters. “For Berkman he’s had his fair share of siblings, but he’s also to the point in his career where it’s sons of alums coming to play for him. It all harkens back to why he does it. “It just kind of reinforces that, you know you're doing the right things. You're cultivating good relationships. You're cultivating players. You're providing an environment that that people want to be in,” he says.”
