GAME OF THE DAY
1. Dickinson Heads to Battlefield to Face Gettysburg

Back in 1958, two schools separated by just 33 miles met for the first time on the lacrosse field. Dickinson won that game by a 16-2 count over Gettysburg and the series is renewed for the 70th time tonight as the Red Devils (7-4, 4-0) and Bullets (7-3, 3-0) meet for a share of first place in the Centennial Conference.
Gettysburg leads the all-time series, 51-18, but Dickinson has won five of the last six, including three straight. Landen Hyatt led the Devils with 23 goals, while Ethan Gess tops the scoring chart with 15-17-32. Rocco Bognet had a 48.9 save percentage and a 9.17 GAA to his credit.
The Bullets are paced offensively by Jack Dunleavy (19-15-34) and Charlie Johnson (26-7-33). Murphy Hoey has a 50.5 save percentage and a 10.13 goals-against mark in between the pipes.

Another day, another top-25 opponent awaits Franklin & Marshall as the Diplomats cross the Delaware River to Glassboro, N.J. to take on Rowan in a non-conference matchup.
F&M (10-1), ranked third in the latest NPI rankings, has defeated four top-10 opponents and a fifth top-25 foe in its last six contests. Lydia Cassilly, who surpassed the 300-point mark of her career last week, leads the Blue and White in points (29-15-44), while Lauren Pittman tops the goal chart with 30 to go along with 11 assists. Sara DiGiovanni ranks 13th nationally in save percentage at 54.0%.
The 11th ranked Profs (9-1) are led by the dynamic duo of Elaina Corson (41-10-51) and Calista Burke (29-9-38) who have combined for 42 percent of the team’s goals. Mel Rodgers has posted an even better save percentage than her counterpart, placing eighth in DIII at 55.5%.

3. Rowan’s Delaney Fostering Family Atmosphere

by Phil Shore, USA Lacrosse Magazine
“Days before the final game of the 2003 season, the realization finally sank in for Lindsay Delaney (née Hanson).
She always had the mindset of looking toward the future, but as a senior with only one game remaining on the schedule, there was no longer anything up ahead. It dawned on Delaney, named the 2003 Division III Defensive Player of the Year by the Women’s Lacrosse Club of South Jersey, that this would be the last competitive lacrosse game of her career.
She called her friend, teammate and future Rowan Hall of Famer Maggie Goodman Reed to talk about how she couldn’t believe that would be it.”
» Field Awareness. "What she didn’t know, though, was that Rowan wouldn’t be without her for very long. In 2005, Delaney rejoined the program, serving as an assistant coach for three years before becoming the program’s head coach in 2008. The 2025 season is her 18th in charge of the Profs, the second-most in program history behind her own coach, Mary Marino, and the team has gotten off to the best start ever.”
» The Big Picture. “Delaney is the winningest head coach in Rowan history. She’s taken her teams to six NCAA tournaments, four of which came in her first four seasons. Her defenses have recorded two of the only three shutouts in team history. Her teams have set single-season records for goals scored (302 in 2023) and team wins (14 in 2018 and 2023). This season, Rowan won the first eight contests of the year, setting a new record for the best start to a season. The Profs are now 9-1 with the bulk of their NJAC schedule on the way.”
» What They’re Saying. “I want them to know they can always come home, that Rowan is always going to be there,” she said. “Every one of them was there for me. As much as they’ve needed me, in my growing up here, I’ve needed them, too. They’ve all made me better. They’ve all been there for me in my lowest moment. … We know the program is about more than wins and losses.”
